Fireman Sam is set in the Welsh village
of Pontypandy. Fireman Sam works in the Pontypandy fire station,
saving people, buildings and animals from fire and other predicaments,
as well as keeping the town fire-safe with his friendly advice.

and stay out."

is a bumbling, but loveable fire fighter who likes to cook. He once cooked
green spaghetti, thanks to some meddling from Norman.

a resourceful fire fighter, and the only female at the station. A late
addition to the series.

or sir, is the Pontypandy stalwart in charge of the station. He has been
in the fire service for over 25 years.
Jupiter: Jupiter is the station's
long-serving fire engine. His number plate reads: J999.
Pontypandy Residents

the store, with her 'little sugar candy' Norman. She likes to watch tennis,
and never seems to take her hair out of rollers.
Norman Price (often referred to
as Naughty Norman): Norman is a cheeky young boy who likes fishing,
football and creating general trouble and mischief. He lives with his mother,
Dilys.
Trevor Evans: Trevor is the Pontypandy
bus driver, and also a part time fireman. He quite fancies Dilys.
Bella Roma: Bella is an Italian
lady with red glasses, who owns and runs the Pontypandy cafe. She has a
cat named Rosa.
Sarah and James: These two cheerful
kids are Sam's niece and nephew, and they love to spend time with their
uncle. Sarah has a teddy bear called Cuddles.
